Regular users of the red button Sky News Active service will have noticed that the daily vote option has been missing for a couple of weeks.

I know from your emails that the service is something you enjoy using.

It has been removed for technical reasons and our team is working to restore it.

But there is nothing more sinister to it than that - no, we haven't been "got at" by the Labour party or Downing Street after a series of daily votes showed big majorities against Gordon Brown.

So I'm sorry to disappoint all the conspiracy theorists out there.
